Photos – Gramercy Theatre show
These wonderful photographs were taken by Chris Becker (@SWEETSBECKER) at our show at Gramercy Theatre. His work is fantastic and really takes advantage of the great lighting we had that night. Check out the rest of his work on his website and his Flickr page.
And, of course, the night would not have been the same without all of the folks who came out on that rainy night. A big thank you from Cosmos Says Hello!
Large Hadron Collider discovers its first new particle
BBC News – LHC reports discovery of its first new particle
Finally! The Large Hadron Collider near Geneva is starting to pump out the cool new physics it was made for. The newly discovered particle, called the “Chi_b (3P), doesn’t upend any existing science, but it’s another step towards filling in all the blanks in the Standard Model of subatomic particles. But this is my favorite part of it:
“The new particle is made up of a ‘beauty quark’ and a ‘beauty anti-quark’, which are then bound together,” Prof Roger Jones told BBC News.
Ok, so I only like it because it sounds cool, but isn’t that part of the fun of doing science?
Oh, and this also shows that they’re able to create new particles at the LHC without creating some sort of mini black hole that swallows up the Earth and kills us all. Fantastic! =)
Show Alert – Gramercy Theatre Dec. 27
Happy Holidays, friends! We will be playing a very special end-of-year show this coming Tuesday, Dec. 27 at the one and only Gramercy Theatre. After this show we’ll be spending some more time working on our upcoming EP so this is your best chance to see Cosmos Says Hello this winter.

We also have a limited number of presale tickets available. If you’re interested, please get in touch!
Guitar Cover of On a Good Day by Joanna Newsom
Here is my cover of On a Good Day, such a great song with a lovely melody.
I only did one verse because it keeps repeating. It sounds like this piece is from the renaissance and was written by John Dowland. Here is a link to the original song .
